Steve Jansen Jeffery started out building bicycles named Rambler. He kept the name and started building cars named the Jeffery Rambler. After he died his son redesigned the car and changed the company to Jeffery Motors. When Nash purchased the company the Rambler trade mark stayed with the company. When AMC took over they reinstated the name AMC Rambler and stuck until the end of production. If you ever owned a Rambler, remember it was just a redesigned bicycle.
