DR TMA PAI HAD TO TOUR KERALA AND MEET BISHOPS AND LEADERS OF KERALA ,,AND KARNATAKA ;TO CONVINCE THEM THAT SUCH A WAY OF EDUCATION IS FEASIBLE ;AND TO ASSURE THAT THE ' MBBS' DEGREE AWARDED AFTER SUCH A COURSE WILL BE VALID ;TO PRACTISE MEDICINE .!!!!!!!
THAT IS ALL PAST HISTORY; NOW ALMOST ALL COLLEGES[ AND JOBS ]ACCEPT DONATION FOR ADMISSION
AND NOW DONATION ALSO HAS GONE UP UP AND UP  INTO STRATOSPHERE
{From one Medical College in 1953, their educational empire has expanded to 24 professional colleges in 12 professional streams with 9 campuses and 2 universities. The Manipal Group has gone global with campuses in NEPAL, MALAYSIA, DUBAI, MUSCAT SRI LANKA and ANTIGUA. It has its presence in 20 countries.}
When it dawned on the Kerala government that many Keralites were seeking admission outside the state, it also allowed private managements to set up medical and engineering collegesMany such colleges soon came up in states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
